GENIO have released a report Disability and Mental Health in Ireland - Searching out Good Practice
Mental health first aid Ireland have a range of tools and supports to equip people to approach, assess and assist someone through the giving of support, information, empathetically listening and encouraging.
Their campaign believes people can be trained in mental health first aid and grow in knowledge and confidence to be better able to support those experiencing mental health problems. By learning such skills we can reduce stigma, empower people to take action to promote mental health and promote better understanding of the equal importance of mental and physical health.
